linux users i need vid editing software

what do you guys use to edit vids? trying to find something i can use right in linux here, i have a feeling encoding will own vmware pretty good so i dont wanna use winderz

I do not know tmpgenc.

But Its really easy to create a clip from a movie using tools like ffmpeg or mencoder or transcode. Its just like converting the movie using parts of the file.

There is nothing that comes close to any of the popular windows/mac applications right now I use cinelerra, but it's pretty ghetto.

think anything would run under wine? otherwise i got xp installed on vmware i think ill try that out too.

You can batch stuff up to make clips automagically from the command line with ffmpeg, unless you want to cut out your vids by hand.
