NEW YORK (AP)- Google plans to launch a Web browser called Google Chrome in a challenge to Microsoft?s Internet Explorer, the Wall Street Journal reported on its Web site.

The browser launch is likely to be announced soon, the paper said, citing unnamed sources.

Google did not immediately respond to calls and e-mails seeking comment.
