    Please Help!

Why do people like this exist? Why must webmasters LIE when they want to be involved in someone's work.

This is what a client recently said to me:

"I got one designer who wants to do me a site in asp and wants windows NT instead of Unix server..not sure why that is..but he also despizes php and thinks that it is the main reason adult sites are hacked. "

How do I convey to this person, without using NERDSPEAK that they are being misled due to the technological misunderstanding of this "designer".

Just because you happened to learn the wrong or a less marketable design technology doesnt make other technologies bad or more hackable.

But Im a nerd...I know this shit and sometimes I have a hard time explaining this to non NERDS...some of you fucking webmasters are such smooth talkers that you can sell ice to the fucking eskimos....

This is the gist of what i replied....

    I asked the client to:

    Read about servers: http://www.netcraft.com/survey/

Compare the amount of scripts available for PHP to ASP: http://hotscripts.com/

BUT DOES THIS CONVEY THE FACTS TO AN ORDINARY NONNERD?

How can I convice this dude that the FACTS are more valid then the OPINION of some misguided webmaster?

If he is non-techy, the articles will bore him to death and he'll never read them all.

Ask him why the other designer feels this way. Then show him where the designer's thoughts aren't valid.

Let me know how it turns out.
