PHP script check if website is down?

is there a simple php script that'll let me upload say 100 domains in a text file, and itll run through domains and report working/dead links

Do you want to check to see if it works, or if you have 404s? The title seems to be 'site', but your explaination looks like 404.

There are tons of ghetto ways of doing it, but I usually just monitor from the server, itself, with monit. You could always pay someone else to do it, or use uptime. Most providers will monitor your systems with your monthly fee.

no i mean i want to see if 100 domains respond to ping or are they dead

You should be able to find a php site checker scrip on Google. I know someone that has adapted an existing script and it works a treat!
