    Google Apps

    Anyone using them?

We've started using it to collaborate on documents, share calendars, etc. and it seems like a fantastic thing. We also use their mail servers and the awesome spam filter, along with the great searchable archive the GMail offers.

Its free too. The start page is a great home page that gives you a nice panorama of what's going on.

Seems like a great solution to me and now I can concentrate on other stuff instead of worrying about backing up emails and making sure the MX works ok, etc.

i used to use their calendar a lot, but it doesnt sync with anything else (iphone, outlook, etc) so i stopped using it as much.

i do still use the spreadsheet and docs to share stuff between people

          Yes, I do.

Its like if I asked you if you trust your host that much. If your email flies around unencrypted, anyone can see it, including your host.

No i do not trust them. I used to get informed when someone is reading files on it. After 1-2 angry phonecalls to the hoster they found a way to read the files without shutting it down or they do not do it anymore.

Who says my emails are flying around unencrypted? ;)

            EDIT: Important emails.

All the important phone calls and messages are recorded too but no one is talking about security when using some provider, but they look at the rates and useful thingies that comes with it..

Its same with those services.. I love Google apps and I use them. And yeah, I trust them.
