i've dealt with DBs before and it's not pretty unless the script is top notch.

custom is the way to go. if you get programmer for php then make sure they know how to save resources in the code. like closing mysql connections and shit like that. in the long run it's better if not the only way to go. otherwise just use regular old html.

if you really need to buy something you might want to check
out Siteman from Site Extreme it´s zend encoded so you can´t
customize it too much....I´ve checked the demo and it looks quite
solid......but only buy if you really have to......I wouldn´t recommend it.

That´s about the only thing mine doesn´t, but it can batch import
images, auto resize them, auto thumbnail them, multilanguage.
template based, image/video voting, user comments, e-card
zip pics/selection of pics on the fly for downloading, play video
browser inlined, random pics, users can select number of
pics/clips per page, search, stats in admin, mark updates as
new, etc, etc

Oh and it lets you set permissions per pic/category/image
so you can use the members area as the tour so that users
can see what you have got inside but without letting them
see/download full size images or videos.......or just let them
see 3 of each category.

Users can also bookmark items so that the next time they come
back they can see their favorite items without having to search
for them.

Doubtful. If it were possible, it wouldn't be able to use human judgement to create a quality screenshot - i.e. closeup of a cock in the hole rather than a screenshot of the guy's foot or something. The end result would probably be enough hassle for you to go back to manual capture.

I spent the whole of today working on twice daily March updates. The files will be going up for the next 24 hours at least (but once it's done, it's done), and I'll need to upload a fresh page twice per day, but I still prefer this to using a script. The chances of error are reduced, providing that Xenu is run over any new html. Last year I had a bad experience with a PHP click tracker so I haven't been as eager to take advantage of such "traffic tracking" or "time saving" scripts since then.

Manual is always preferred (unless it's a continual struggle). If I had to decide between two or more different scripts... I'd probably go for custom coding rather than forcing myself to make a compromise. My way or no way. Just my

As their first customer (note my typoed testimonial on their site ;)) I can honestly tell you, it's great. When they first came out with it, it had a few bugs, but they've been great at getting the bugs fixed and even adding shit I wanted that didn't come with it originally. There are still a couple things on my wishlist I'd like to see added that I know will be added soon. And Que and Krystal are always only an ICQ away and very attentive to customer service.

What kind of problems you having with adultwebware? I just bought thier software its installed and working great what kinds of problems did you encounter.. also the new version is suppose to be even better than the last version you can see more information about it at http://www.adultwebware.com/new/

ohh yea I had those problems at first to once I installed all those myself I had no problems at all.. you do have to use the newest version of GD tho or you will get some grainy ass thumbnails but once you do it works flawlessly..

I am new to the software tho hopefully I wont have any problems with it like you are experiencing. Only time will tell either way I already paid $250 bones for it so im stuck with it.. they now lease it monthy for $25 if anyone is interested in atleast giving it a try

i use siteman, it's a bit pricey, but it's kick ass and you barely have to lift a fanga =)
