    Digital Video Question

Let's say you've encoded a movie into MPEG and Window Media format. If you want to slap your URL on the movie do you have to encode again and like a JPEG is there a loss of quality or is there a way of putting your logo/URL on without losing any quality?
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

If there is a lossless way to recompress a highly compressed file then I would really like to hear about it.

We use Premiere 6.0, but we slap the logo on the "video 2"
line before we encode to both formats. The logo will be a little blurry but not bad. We use PSD's rather than Jpg's.

I've been playing with video of late, and found it best to add the URL (I use text, no logo) to the .avi you are editing. Then compress it into the format you want. If you open a compressed video (mpeg, for instance) and recompress it with a URL, I would imagine the quality would go down the shitter, although I have never tried it that way.

Don't forget to capture/render your video with an audio track to encode into Windows Media Format. I once rendered some soundless videos without any audio track figuring I'd save some file size.

Low and behold, I go to encode the finished product to WMV via Cleaner and it says "No no Mr. Man, you need an audio track."

Cleaner is good a great proggie and well worth the pricetag for running batches. Watching Aaron try to figure it out would be worth a little mula as well.

Just kidding Aaron. You'll do just fine. Any questions with it, hit me up via ICQ.
