You may not need a dedicated right off the bat. Go with some cheap shared, but do regular database back ups. Once your blogs get popular and start getting nice traffic, switch to dedicated then. Otherwise you'll be paying a lot for powerful server and you're gonna lose motivation soon. There's no fun in spending $200 a month for a server, spend 3 hours a day writing content and make $50 in return. Unless your blogs get busy, I wouldn't look at dedicated yet.
You don't need dedicated box unless you want the headache of managing that server. Virtual will be just fine. I've been on virtual and run over 1TB a month so anyone who says upgrade is just fooling you. The guys at http://www.colo-cation.com/ can help you out - the service is always online, which is what you need in an online marketing industry.
If you are looking for the very best in dedicated hosting then it's a no brainer and talk to www.techiemedia.com but if you only need a small cheap virtual account talk to phatservers or nakidhosting, both have good reps for virtuals.
