For those whose Trillian started crashing.

If you use AIM in Trillian and it started crashing today, well that's 'cause AOL meant it this way. Long and behold,

huh... been using Trillian for quite a while, and haven't ever had a crash, today or otherwise... i am using an older version of Trillian however, and not really for much AIM communications. maybe only applies to AIM usage, and not ICQ..?

If you use AIM in Trillian

If you use the Pro version you need to use PATCH C, not patch D.

Also, the new patch checks for pirated registrations so if you have a pirated version, you'll need a Trillian Pro KeyGen.

The new patch fixes the AOL problem ok.

Thanks for this info. Trillian was working fine when I read this thread yesterday but it started crashing this morning. The patch worked.

I downloaded the patch the other day and have had no problems since (I am using the pro version). I just downloaded a plugin for the Pro version that checks your pop accounts and puts up a small flag when you have incoming mail - pretty cool huh? Since I use a web-based email program (so I can check my mail anywhere), this really comes in handy.
