Diffrent Join prices in diffrent countries?

guess not all surfers are stupid enough not to notice. Any program willing to say if they are getting a lot of questions about this?

Well they might recognize if they have more options / more countries to choose from on the join page.

I don't think that many discuss how much they pay for porn with their peers though, and any place where they can discuss it is just wrong .

I assume it's the right way to go though, make a fixed price in different currencies, adjust the price to the market.

At least it sounds fair to me, as far as it should - firstly enable you to get more sales from weaker markets and secondly - it doesn't screw the surfers from the countries with a very unstable currency.

It would be interesting to hear the experience from the billers though.

No disrespect...but is it really neccessary to post some of this shit for surfers to read? I know they aren't stupid. I've always been an advocate of treating the surfer fairly. But we are all trying to make a living here. If I buy a slice of pizza in one town it won't be the same price as in another town. Nobody complains. It's what the market will bring. And with certain affiliates asking for a bigger cut of the pie lately (not mentioning any names lol ) it would seem to me that it only hurts your business to pull the curtain back on every way there is to make any money.

I'm a guy who after paying billing processing AND the affiliate only makes $8 for a sale...which I then have to use to pay bandwidth, production costs etc., I think that maybe if a cash program is able to adjust their pricing for different markets and make an extra dollar or two it shouldn't be an issue to an affiliate who always makes their money.

I just think it's bad to talk about all these subjects on here in front of all these surfers. It makes them feel cheated. Even when they are not. It would be the same as if you went to buy a car and paid $50,000 for it. You felt good about it...then after you paid for it the car salesman jumped out and screamed: "You are an idiot! It only cost us $10,000 to make that car and you could have bought it across town for a thousand dollars less!"

Of course they don't do that. And neither should we.

I can't speak for other cash programs or websites. But the paysite I own gives a great product for the price to the surfer. Fuck...it's half the price of a tank of gas. And the only time I make ANY money is on a type in. My affiliate sales net me 8 dollars for every sale. Meanwhile you make half of the gross every time. I think we are more than fair.

Shouldn't be crucified for trying to make more than $8. And as I understand the CC Bill geo-ip set up....it benefits you as well because you make half of whatever price it is. So if it's euros then you are profiting even more as an affiliate.

We haven't turned that option on yet. But that's only because we've been so busy. But we will.

I wont turn that option on, let them get a discount to join my site. I still make the same money and its good if it develops the more overseas joins.

Of course if non U.S. companies you deal with raise the price of things you have to buy, you lose out. What you are missing is that since the U.S. dollar is down the non U.S. companies are ALREADY getting a discount due to that fact alone. I see this as evening the playing field.

I assume you are talking GFY surfers? Cause we didn't put that on our board our selfs, they wonder about it them selfs and this isn't the first time it is brought up on our board.

Just wondering if paysite owners get questions about these things basically.

the main problem is when a surfer goes to a site that has it's own pre-join form (like many) the pre-join form will say dollars. But the CC-Bill form will say Euros. Another thing is that Review sites and such display the sites pricing in US dollars but once the surfer goes to the site he will see Euros or British pounds (depending on the surfers location of course).

We have implemented a script on our pre-join pages that will display the price in the exact amount and currency the CC Bill form does, so there are no differences in prices and currencies displayed.

I have to agree with Robbie, that affiliates are getting a nice chunk of cash of sign ups as is, but it is a business deal after all. we have the content the affiliate has the traffic so let's make money together, right? Over the years the "partnership" has changed for the better of the affiliate, higher payouts and almost everything already done for them. Personally i don't have a problem with it as long as I make my money too.

As far as the regional billing goes, we haven't had any issues yet (knock on wood) and for Euro traffic nothing really changed, when the Euro and the Dollar were almost 1 : 1 no one complained, but now that the dollar went down I think it is only fair to adjust your pricing.
