Congrats to the Celitics on winning the championship. This is of course what they were expected to do.
Does anyone else feel kind of like they "bought" this one though?
It reminds me alot of the 1997 Marlins who went on a wicked spending spree in the offseason and then won the world series.
Now I'm a Marlins fan, and I was really happy that they won, but when they won in 2003 with mostly homegrown talent it was much much better for me as a fan.
I guess the big difference here is that Boston isn't likely to have a firesale in the offseason and trade these guys away. They'll be a force to be reckoned with for a few years at least.
