They totally suck, their support is the worst I've ever seen, and they always are having some uptime issues, definitely 1 of the worst hosts around.

Use them if you dont care if your server crashes every few days. And if you dont care if your server can be crashed for up to 10 hours before they even bother to reboot it.

Not a fan. No longer have any clients there; won't be utilizing their services, personally.

Whatever u do, DONT go alphadead.

Lots of downtime last months, even days.
Reason: I heard some donkey tripped over a powercord and well, the rest of the company doesnt do shit other then spam forums with "promotions".

But on a serious note: I will NEVER EVER EVER go back to alphared again. Service sucks, they dont give a shit if your sites are down. NO response by email. And the last time i was online and live on the helpdesk the "helpee" i asked why i couldn access my new server was "because its so new, WE dont even know how to access it"..

And that, was no fucking joke.

From a developer point of view, i have NOTHING good to say about them at all. It's so bad that I pretty much plan for a 2 month delay with servers if I can't talk someone out of using them.

Some interesting support experiences
- took 4 days to fix a typo they made in DNS.
- servers 1 month (or more) late (happened on i believe 3 occasions)
- they did NFS mounting backwards once, so that 3 servers were serving content off one hard drive.
- They seem to not check their work at all. Numerous times I've been given an ftp password for a server with no ftpd installed.

I could go on forever. Go with Yellowfiber, its not going to be too much more expensive and the support there is very good. I recommend them to all my clients and many of them host there. The owners ICQ is 19876563.
