CRM? Client Management software?

ok, don't laugh.. i'm looking for the term you'd call software that one would use to manage accounts for a service business.

ie. i have monthly recurring clients that need to be billed monthly.. also, i need to keep tabs/notes on their accounts... is a CRM what i need or something else?

Do you need to keep track of all functions of accounting, or just billing? Sage Businessworks comes to mind.

Quicken is very good. I use the Professional Services edition for invoicing, billing and simple accounting...you can setup multiple accounts with notes and billing levels/service hours/etc. It can an also track employee hours
