Who's heard the their debut stuff? Like A Stone is an incedible song!!

So for you ex-soundgarden and ex-RATM fans... do you think this collaboration is better than either band ever was?? Don't get me wrong, in the past they were both bad ass bands. But now you have the incredible vocals of Chris Cornell & the bad ass musical talent of Rage (minus Zack and his political agenda crap). ;)

Let's hear some feedback...

Really great debut, but how could it be bad? a great vocalist and a top guitarrist playing hard rock can't be bad. As a guitar player i can't stop to listen Tom Morello guitar tricks, really great album, i'm burning it at my cd player the whole day.

yeah, I like the old Rage alot, but I was always a huge Soundgarden fan, so this mix is just fucking cool, IMO.

"Zack and his political agenda crap" WAS Rage Against the Machine. Why is it "crap" for somebody to express beliefs?

You know, the only reason they're not political, from what I heard on tv one night, is that Chris Cornell disagrees with them and made them agree not to write any lyrics that were political in nature. They're all politically minded guys... but not Chris.

But anyway, so far I'm not into Audioslave. Rage was good (though getting more worn out to me with each album), and Soundgarden was great. But the two just don't seem to go well together. I'll listen to it again in full and maybe I'll change my mind.

he's supposed to be coming out with a straight up 'hip-hop' cd..but he's been working on it for years...beginning to wonder if it'll ever come out. last i checked he was working with ?uestlove of the roots and babu of dialated peoples

I'm a huge RATM fan. I don't agree with a good chunk of their politics, but I respect the fact that they're actually doing something with their lyrics instead of singing about weed and hoes, like most of the new songs today.

I don't really like Audio Slave. Cornell kills them, I absolutely hate his voice, always sounds like he's whining. Audio Slave is RATM with Chris Cornell, it's a terrible way to "remake" a band.

I expected much more from Tom Morello. He's a very smart guy, hopefully he'll get back into the politics.

in all honesty, I've only heard the single from them. and its terrible. If you didnt notice that the music is just a copy of an old RATM song, you need to have your ear cleaned and listen to the eponymous RATM album again.


Both bands were better seperatly.
