Phoenix Webmaster gathering

I have heard some talk lately about the Phoenix area webmasters getting together so I had taken the liberty of spending a few minutes to plan something out. All I had done was choose a spot and time, and call them to make sure that we had reserved seating. If you get there after 8 PM, there is $2 cover, and the drinks are not free, although I might be convinced into buying a round ;)

Wednesday, Feb 26 at around 8:30, at Sugar Daddies (NW corner of Scottsdale and Thomas Road)

The weather should be nice and we have a spot reserved on the patio?I had already mentioned this to a few people, and they had seemed interested.
To those who are not familiar with the place, they will probably have a blues band inside playing, and the place has a nice casual vibe.

damn, speaking of drinking in az. i just got pulled over and i passed the field test with the officer.... wooohooo, i had to follow a pen around with the old eyes. just had to make sure that i did not follow the damn thing with my head. that was the trick. he told me to take off before the beers kick in that way i dont get a D.U.I. heheh. man i was fucking trashed..... damn that was fucking close.

oh and he asked me if i had contacts twice and the second time i said that you have already asked me that question. i am sure that played a big part in my getting away with nothing.... sheeesh. no dui and i still dont want one. jeez.

A few days ago, I met a public defender and had a discussion with him. He was completely against allowing the police to do a field sobriety test, also against answering any questions that they ask, such as when the last time that you ate was, etc. He recommended only allowing them to do a breathalyzer. He explained that he reason was that he did not have enough trust in the police to be accurate or truthful. When they give you a field sobriety test, such as looking at your eyes, they can see what your eyes are doing, but you can?t, so they can say anything they want to. The field sobriety test gives you a hard result, which can be verified?

It was interesting?after being a public defender and seeing inaccuracies in police reports and enough reports contradict each other, he told me that he has very little trust in the police

not swearving, i came around mill and university and burn out the tires a bit. and of course he was sitting there. eeerrrr, thought i was getting a ticket or dui for sure. no big deal though just kind of crazy. that is the second time that i have had to pass a field test. the last time was about 4 years ago... hhmmm maybe this was a sign.
