Diet Coke is actually a diet version of Coke II, not Coke Classic.

Coke Zero, by contrast, is Coke with the sugar removed, and replaced with an aspartame/ace-k combination.

Also new is Diet Coke with Splenda. This is Coke II with sucralose instead of sugar.

The point was that the main objective in creating the product was not taste which I think is pertinent to the discussion. At least more so than your post criticizing my post.

All of these new 'melded' flavors are incredibly bizarre and awful. The 'Pepsi Jazz', 'Dr. Pepper with piping hot dough and a wack with a hammer' flavors, which always taste beyond awful.

At this point, gimme Diet Pepsi w/ Splenda.. and don't you DARE change the flavor.
