Hi all.
I am looking for a programmer to work on some projects.
They are adult and mainstream, but mostly adult. This is a contract position and the candidate can be anywhere (meaning, you can work from home in your PJs for all I care, as long as the work gets done correctly). ;)
I have gone through 4 programmers in the last 6 months. I assure you it's not because I'm hard to work with. If I could actually get them to do the work, then one might be able to say that. LOL. They all say "Yeah - I can totally help you." Then I never hear anything on the projects we discussed. When I asked for status weeks or even a month after the initial discussion, I actually had 2 of them say "Did you want me to start that stuff now?"
This is not meant to be a a bitch session. I'm giving a little 411 around this so the right people respond to the post. If you do not have a sense of urgency and pleasure in doing your work, then you need not respond. We are looking for driven, self-starting people to join our team. We work very hard and can keep a programmer busy for a very long time. Is there anyone out there that wants to learn and make some money?
Here is the skill-set we are looking for:
HTML
PHP
MySQL
Smarty templating
CARMA
MAS
MPA3
NATS
Types of sites you will be working on:
Paysites
Retail
Affiliate Programs
Setting up Blogs and message boards
Must be extremely organized. Must be able to execute efficient naming conventions for site files and structures. Thorough in their work, not just in doing the programming itself. You must be able to question things and point out potential mistakes. Not just doing the work, but really seeing it through all phases of development and offer suggestions, solutions, etc. We want applicants that are awake and able to be proactive. We want you to think and have a voice (super cereal).
