I wish I was but it seems like every other day dreamhost's something or other isn't working right and I have to send their support a message.

You should offer a deal for people migrating from dreamhost because I bet tonight was the final straw for alot of people!

The first year is what... $20 with the special? If 90% uptime is okay, use them. Otherwise maybe dig a little deeper in the pockets.

I like Dreamhost. I like the control panel a lot. The one-click installs. The snapshots. Adding domains. The bandwidth allotment.

Which hosting companies have the same or better quality of control panels? I'm not a fan of Plesk or Cpanel at all.

I might consider doing something like that if say, the host went out of business and people were being given a chance to rescue their data and had to move anyway, but I would never do it to steal their customers.

Besides, I get the feeling people use them for their cost, and that certainly is not our demographic.

DirectAdmin rocks. And is not a resource hog. It does not come with one click installs of scripts, but if Installatron is installed, that issue is resolved.

I also have some sites over at dreamhost. The support and uptime suck balls.

But their control panel rocks. I just upgraded 6 wordpress blogs with the click of a button.
I also like the ability to use SSH. I have an account on other hosts that wont let me use SSH.

Despite their super low quality hosting service, the ONLY redeeming quality is that damn control panel - thats a work of art, I wish more providers would provide a control panel like Dreamhosts.
