I'm looking for a really good, full featured, tube script that can handle mass amounts of traffic. If you can recommend one or a custom programer that can make me one, let me know here.
mine has absolutely no encoding and I have a data caching system in place to replace so many of those common queries with simple flat files.
I will go as far as saying that when configured properly (cache settings) you'll struggle to find anything run as quickly as my script. I'm working on V1.6 which will rewrite the template engine and make it all editable from the admin panel.
TEVS is really the best if you want to run a purely legit tube script and not have any user submitted content. They have import features that'll blow you away.
It's too expensive and honestly there's some security concerns right now so you might want to hold out at least a few days and see what happens.
My script does have its problems, the same caching system I use to keep server loads so low have a few "sticky variable" issues that I think I have resolved but every so often another one pops up. At times you simply have to click the update cache link. Honestly that resolves seriously about half of my support inquiries. The current .zip available for download has had dozens of fixes since the initial 1.5.5 package was uploaded so I believe its a solid package. I'm working my ass off on V1.6 and with that I'm going to have another round of small fixes to work on. This time around when I think 1.6 is ready I'll set it up for a few testers and let them use it for a week to see what they can come up with before officially releasing it.

This security issue was fixed 2 days ago after the thread on gfy was posted. Infact it was fixed almost 6 weeks ago but I didn't upload to the correct directory. But TEVS is secure now and we're updating all 440+ domains running it.
Also, the front end of TEVS is raw code, so you can change the layout as you like. The admin controls are ZEND.
I assume he means the likes of youporn, redtube, megarotic etc as illegal tubes, which of course they arent which is why i ask.
call me stupid but using stolen material to make money is Legal????

TEVS costs about the the same amount as 6 paysite sales. If you can't make 6 sales then you shouldn't be running a tube site. Stick with blogs and tgp sites.

Exactly! -My TEVS script has already paid for itself!
Tevs is too expensive.. never would buy.. Can do with out. They should be more reasonable on the price then maybe I would buy it. Say $50
Have you ever developed a content management system of any type?? For example, I've been working on my TGP CMS for a bit over two years now (in my spare time). Development time is not cheap if I were to, say, pay myself for all of the work I've done, it would be well over $180k by now (at regular development rates). And you won't even pay $50 for it?
Fend for yourself then.
what he means is TEVS is expensive when compared to how many cheaper alternatives there are. If there weren't other options TEVS would certainly be a huge bargain when compared to developing something yourself.
If what you're looking for is a classic "tube" system which tube sites are SUPPOSED to be somewhat modeled after YOUtube and be somewhat centered around user submitted content then TEVS simply won't work for you.
TEVS is defining a new "niche" to tubes which I think is pretty badass with what it does and that is it is centered around SPONSORED videos which makes the maintanence costs low and the earnings from it high. A classic tube has higher costs of running with much lower returns in comparison to the sponsored type content. If you know how to market that type of site its pretty badass.
I personally am going more for the classic tube with mixing in some automated content, traffic trading and some sponsored content. I hope to gain some ground in the sponsored content area but I'm focusing on refining my core script more first.

It is user uploaded content, just like youtube. It is perfectly legal so long as you remove content on receiving a take down request from the copyright holder, which all those tubes do.
