Is there a simple GEO IP script that...

simply prints the users location (country or state or town - any is fine) onto the webpage?

Don't want lots of bells and whistles... just their country or town or whatever typed on the screen.

Yes there is, if you look here: ip-to-country.webhosting.info/node/view/118
    (add http in front)

you have an example, if you browse the site you will find more examples.
I personally use the maxmind solution but if you want the full database from them it will cost you a few $

    Cheers,

Actually I have been looking for a script that detects ALL proxy traffic. not only the A1 (anonymous) but also open and the others, anyone knows a way to detect proxies on the server so traffic can be redirected?

I have tried the normal ways like:
            X_FORWARDED_FOR
            X_FORWARDED
            FORWARDED_FOR
            CLIENT_IP
            VIA
but that doesn't seem to be enough :P

anyone know a good way to determine if someone uses a proxy?
