    Article: Web 2.0 Traffic Secrets

I wrote an article that discusses how to use user generated content sites to harness more traffic for your own sites. This may not apply to everyone but some mat find it useful.

Awesome article Brad. Unfortunately you'll find a less receptive audience than you hope to, I think. People are starting to catch on, though.

Good article and I'm all for better technology I just think the whole phrase Web 2.0 is a joke. Nobody can tell you what it actually means or what it means to be web 2.0. Hmmm, kind of sounds like 2257. It's just a lame marketing buzzword people throw around that translates in my mind to: hey I'm cool because I'm using some word that sounds impressive and everyone else is using it and doing it so I had better be doing it too otherwise I look bad... not that I actually know what that means, that's for the engineers to figure out. Yes, engineers, one of the requirements is our site needs to be Web 2.0... yeah... Web 2.0 is not some specific feature! WTF is web 2.0? Stop using it people. Be specific.

To me web 2.0 means user generated content and the sites that are driven by that.

Web 2.0 is the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the Internet as platform, and an attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform."

in real terms so many "web 2.0" websites are not really truly web 2.0 and that is your problem with the term

if your site is web 2.0 it has an api, the objects of your website are accessible externally thru some type of reference (ie soap)

the problem is people confuse implimentations of web 2.0 (youtube) with web 2.0
