    How Fast Is Your Server?

    I just got a P-4 2.6, 1 gig ram, 120 gig HD

      I bet a 120gb HD makes it very very fast.

      my server doesn't smoke... but he used to drink alot and got wasted every weekend

          Well I just found out that a P3 1.4 ghz with 512MB of RAM can't do 40mbps consistently. The server will crash. (And just to prove it I did it twice....LOL)

          Today I'm getting moved to a Dual P4 1.8 ghz (or higher, but at least 1.8) with a 72gig SCSI and a gig of ram. Hopefully that'll handle the traffic
