    programmer make cash now!

I need something to batch in windows media encoder 7.1 ... if you look at the site, it says this here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...coder/faq.aspx

    (question #16 under "encoding")

"You can automate batch encoding by using the Windows Media Encoder 7.1 SDK and creating an application by using Visual Basic or Visual C++. In addition, you can use Visual Basic Scripting Edition, JScript®, and Windows Script Host. The SDK contains a Visual Basic-based sample application that demonstrates batch encoding. Windows Script Host, which is installed with Windows 2000, works with any ActiveX® scripting engine to read and interpret scripts. For more information about Windows Script Host and batch encoding, see the SDK on the Microsoft Web site."

Im running 2000 Pro, if that matters.

    Can anyone do this? Quotes?

    Thanks!

Look harder- they have a script on the MS site that does that.

Unless you want to hire a programmer to search the MS site for you, then by all means.

I only found the SDK for Windows Media Player 6.4.

Yup, Turbonegro kicks some serious ass.

My band recorded a version of "Rendevouz with Anus",
is going to be on the next Turbonegro tribute:
              "Betha Motherfuckers".

                  Found this:

                  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...oEncoding.aspx

"Batch encoding. You can use Windows Media Encoding Script, a utility included with the encoder, to encode files by using the command line. You can automate the encoding of all your content at one time without having to configure the encoding session for each file. You can also encode all files in a folder. "

                      Mikey,

Hit me up on ICQ. I'm working on whipping you up something. I've downloaded the 7.1 SDK.

                      Didn't know I was a programmer, did you? ;)

Anyways, I just expect a copy of every video you encode. just kidding.

                          FUCK FUCKITY FUCK FUCK!

Thanks Roxane, i DO appreciate your help very much, unfortunately this utility doesnt let you create custom encoding profiles, as far as i can tell you can only use the default settings...

anyone who can make a custom solution for this???

(my expletives are referring to wmrk7_full.EXE, windows media resource kit)

Ok, try this. Make a new profile in the Windows Media Encoder. Profiles tab -> Manage -> New. Save the profile and Voila! it's available in the Batch Encoder when you add files.

Is that what you're looking for?
