but for 99% of "pagerank worshippers" change in pagerank pretty much means that they can start selling links on their worthless sites for $10/month....

Ever thought why Wikipedia pops-up for every other fucking keyword? same for youtube, yahoo answers and other big sites? This is called authority, which is gained by backlinks and measured by Page-Fucking-Rank.
