    HELP! I need a WP plugin that can...

    Detect comments that are spam and just nuke them automatically. Can anyone help?

                                  Yeah, you need the API key, but it's very easy to get one. Just go here:

                                  I've also used Spam Karma 2 on a couple of blogs. They both worked about the same for me.
