This use to be a kick arse place where you can get ideas and info from, now look at it.

Maybe thats because when someone posts s uselfess thread eg "What day do u like to wash your socks" loads of people reply but when someone writes a topic actually on the adult industry nobody bothers to reply and the only replies are ones slagging people off. - just a summer phase

this board is fun BECAUSE of the non-business related topics, and the business ones... get only business topis, or try to regulate to get that, and you'll see within a few months the board will die... people don't come here just to learn about the biz, but to talk about useless stuff to let pressure drop, and get to know the people we work with...

There can also be a benefit in "useless" posts...
a few posts about favorite bands and I found a few people with those same interests and one thing lead to another and now we're talking business deals...

the rule of sales and networking is to find a common ground and work from there...

When I was in the telemarketing business, instead of jumping into the sales pitch, I'd ask the customer about themselves and find ways to steer the conversation about their likes and dislikes, and after you have that common bond, the close is easier to make.
