    Helping search engine ranking?

    would my domain free-sex-directory.com potentially have a good listing with some search engines because of the url?

    ..please don't bitch at me.. i know my site sucks. i'm trying.

    It should help a little, but it's a far cry from being enough to pull good SE hits.

    I also discovered that the word "free" isn't the best keyword to focus on either...

      Look into different ways to manipulate the spiders. Your best bet without paying thousands of dollars.

          Yes it will help with Google (I don't bother with the others).

          It will help you get listed for "free sex directory"

          However, there were only 7,100 searches for that term last month (around 200 a day).

          I look for domains with the keywords in them - it helps a lot.

            any domain can reach top spot at SE independently of words it contain is, even domains which has not word "sex" by the some "UNKNOWN" ;-)) way #1 in altavista

              In response to "nickbaauw" about getting the top 10 search engines.. I think Andy from sexswap said it best - "if you can attain a top 10 listing for an adult site you wouldnt be for hire but rather do it yourself".

              I'd be interested in a comment on that

                  If I got your question correctly,
                  what about the ones who does'nt have his own "PAYSITE"?
                  some has the skills of getting a top SE placement but unfortunately he does'nt own a paysite, sponsors shaves a lot and 3RD Party trackers never track signups exactly (they are down most of the times).
