HTML: how do you get a side-menu?

I know alot about HTML but i STILL, for the life of me, can NOT figure out how to have a side-menu to the left of the webpage !!!

    For example, go to www.sexxyeyes.com

That site is using a frame set for the menu.

You can do this easily with a number of wysiwyg programs (Dreamweaver) etc. Also there are tons of online tutorials for this sort of thing as well.

    webmonkey, builder.com etc. etc.
I went and fucked myself and all I got was this lousy wrist brace!!!http://www.swankysgals.com

It's a frame-set. These can be cool if you use them wisely... but don't waste time setting up gallery with them because the TGP's won't accept them. Also, most freehost nowadays are not accepting framesets.
Try using nested tables instead. You can achieve the same effect without the frames.

I'd normally recommend Macromedia Dreamweaver for this sort of thing, but downloading the demo will be one of the worst decisions of your life.

          Why?

Once you've sampled how good it is, you'll be hooked - and you'll HAVE to go out and spend however many hundred $$$ it costs now to get the full program...

I think it's still $299, but prices do vary.
