i have a apex dvd player and it worked fine.... then i tried playing this movie and it will freeze up and make this clicking noise. so i tried watching a different movie that has no scratches or anything on it and it says "disc error". is my dvd player broken or what?

It may be broken. I had a CD recorder do close to the same thing. It never made clicking noises, but I always got disk errors. The laser was messed up and the whole thing had to be replaced.ICQ: 316365783

what movie were you trying to play?
some movies are known to not function, and some cases break, certain DVD players.
I've got two that won't work in one of my machines.. and another that plays fine, but in one machine you can't fast forward, rewind, or pause.Comment

the first one was bandits which was a little scratched because it was from netflix. then the other one was a personal copy of office space thats in mint condition.I host with VacaresComment

my Bandits works great.. don't have office space.
