3 is fine too, at least use bigger pics, I cant believe how many prgs still use them 120x180 thumbs for a RSS entry, looks totally crap on a blog

and invest in someone who writes pro SEO text and knows adult, its really really worth the $

I find that most sponsors really screw up their feeds.

Some of them make 7 updates a week, and release them all at the same time. Others have 3 updates in a single day, and nothing for a month. Some use methods in their feeds that are not entirely compatible with feed aggregation software (such as including flash movies in a feed... this is very difficult to do right).

As for image size, most standard wordpress blog layouts are good for between 425 and 450 wide images. Much more than that and some themes break down.

I wouldn't put more than a couple of full size pics in a blog entry, but I am not against one large and some smaller thumbs further down, example.

Oh yeah, final one for this: If you are a program that runs more than one feed, don't use exactly the same images for two different sites on the same day. It is totally fucking annoying to aggregate a teen hardcore and a general hardcore feed together and find the same exact image used to promote two different sites in different ways. Take the second one and offset it a few days. Much easier!

Depending on the site, could be multiple times a week to multiple times a day.

We do up to 2 pics at various sizes up to 600x930 ;)

You can customize the look and feel and even match up different sites into 1 feed.

Sounds good, tomorrow we launch 3 separate niche feeds that will update once each day. You choose how many full size pics (450x675) to display 1-3, and how many text descriptions to display. Titles, full size pics, and keywords in the description link to any trial price for any ARS paysite you choose. We even added in alt tags.

I dont like once a day because it means other post get buried too quick. I would prefer 3 times a week if I had my preference.

Well at LTC we update 2 times a day over our hosted blog and RSS feed network. We have one feed that covers all of our Latina sites and each site has their own feed which updates on a specified day of the week. We like to keep to our schedule to ensure the best for our affiliates. Right now a few of our blogs have been going with 350 wide pics but we are also in the process of upgrading them to 450 wide pics.

All will be up to 450 at the end of the week and keep the same update schedule. We also updating our database of our morphs so basicly there is a much wider variety of words to be used in the variations of subscriptions from affiliate to affiliate.

Or... Every day with quality 450 width pics (doesn't matter how many) good MORPHING SEO-friendly text content (more than 3 lines) with embedded flash videos and/or links to the real content (FHG galleries, HDV trailers etc)

Rss or atom or even a plain xml feed are used differently and to ask how often you should update is kind of a funny question... some people update once a day while some people just don't update...

This is not true. A feed by its very nature is the same content packaged for distribution. For an affiliate, its comparable to using FHGs. Create your own content and you get better ratios, but FHGs and RSS feeds still does its job.

If an RSS feed isn't updated every day it's worthless. Very few people seem to get that.

Not necessarily, mule. If he is creating his own feed from a set of feeds which makes his show 1-to-multiple updates a day, its useful.
