I just switched to Adium recently as well. ICQ for Mac is sooooo lagging behind ICQ for PC. I don't even remember the last time they updated it.Comment

adium is pretty amazing.
iChat on leopard is trying to catch up. i'm giving it a chance, but definately foresee a big chance of switching back to Adium soon.

adium is like the trillian of the mac world - the only issue i see with it is the incompatibility factors with other people using PCs and the actual messenger client and/or wanting to use the webcam features cross-platform. of course, these issues come up using the original messenger programs individually too so i'm still waiting on an all-in-one that addresses at least the 2 major platforms most users are on, let alone any UNIX based systems.

what's the incompatibility you're addressing? is it just video conferencing? The only thing that's frustrated me personally is sometimes it seems impossible to transfer files. but like you said - that's always a pain in the ass unless both people are on the same platform.
for video conferencing, iChat is supreme. not sure how you would carry it out to a PC though.
i wanted so bad to like iChat in leopard, but Adium is still just BETTER.
i am counting minutes till they let 3rd party apps on the iphone and adium comes there!
