Google PR update started - youtube.com at PR3 !!!

Wow, looks like some serious changes this time, losses all over the board and I can prodly claim to own sites with more PR than youtube...

Looks like the vast majority of sites, especially established ones, lost PR. -1, -2 and more.

Well, fine as long as rankings stay as they are, fuck PR, but I'm pretty surprised, looks like link sellers really pissed google off. Maybe not the final PR, but what you can see so far is really funny.

100% agreed, but some people think PR is everything and pay alot for high PR links...so this could definately hurt, even if rankings stay as they are.

Did you know that in 90% of the cases, a PR decrease is directly linked to a decrease in SE traffic??

It was PR3 for several hours, no joke.

It's still ongoing, so you certainly can't say anything final and maybe it was just a glitch, but basically 80% of the sites I had checked via http://livepr.raketforskning.com went down by 1, 2 or even more.

checking all mine so far I'm happy ! mainstream sites went up. Some PR5 pages as well on blog posts even though the index page is pr4. Gotta love those people that link to your posts

Some seriously stupid stuff going on right now. Pretty much every site that I had that PR1 or PR0 is not PR2. It is like PR2 is the new PR0. even domains that have been in the google doghouse for 5 plus years are suddenly showing PR2 or better.

It's funny, and proof that PR probably means little or nothing in the overall scope of things.

yeah I lost some stuff too. I had a couple of nice blogs at pr3 one went to pr2 and the other or pr1. so far they still have rank in the serps so the pr changes hasn't effected much. I'm curious to see if that changes over the next few days.

I don't think so, pretty sure the rankings won't change much, since it's just an export of data to the toolbar, but it hurts the PR link sellers and that's probably what google intended.

Yeah.. I had a site that gets almost zero traffic.. not even 40 visits a day all of a sudden bounce from a 0 to a 2. That makes no sense because there's no way that site should be a 2.

Mistakenly, What info Google have about www.youtube.com is URL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CULmwgsX29M .. which is actually PR3.

I am not in mood to explain how this can happen, but for you and me .. if this ever happen, we will need to remove permanent redirect (from homepage to internal page or another domain) and wait for next PR update to show original PR. But, since youtube is owned by Google .. they will fix this as soon as they find.
