Automatic thumbnail generators?

I know they exist, I just don't know what they're called or where to get 'em: I want to pretty much automatically generate thumbnails batch-wise from a bunch of original images.

Any clues? TIA

That's it! The first one wasn't appropriate, but I see from download.com that there are several.

(What was I thinking to not think of download.com ... I use it all the time, but it slipped what's left of my mind this morning.)

I used thumbsplus to make thumbnails 500 at a time. It works well. I have also used JASC image robot

I have ACDSee v.3.0
I use the html album generator to make the thumbs directly to a html page. Then a bit work with Dreamweaver and voilá. The artist has made art.

That's not real art. I make each thumbnail individually by hand and code the gallery in notepad. It's much more satisfying!
