    Google - Anti piracy database

This is good news! Once some of these sites are "unsearchable", it will make it harder for these freeloaders and theives to steal our content

Is this referring to YouTube or something else?

Why would Google take a result down without a DMCA request?

I did a quick search, I could only find YouTube in recent references about anti-piracy, and it's just a filter that will refuse to allow processing of an upload where their visual matching system detects copyrighted content. This is more a pre-emptive DMCA rather than censorship.

If Google start filtering results to exclude (for example) torrent or mp3 filenames, then that's a different matter entirely...

                My thought exactly fine sire.

Last I knew they only did this with DMCA complaints. As I have been on both ends of that issue.
