    Webair Dedicated Server

    I ordered the following system on October 1st from Webair:

    * P4 3.0 Ghz
    * Operating System of choice
    * 2048 MB ECC RAM
    * 2x 300GB Sata-II Storage
    * 23 Mbps Transfer Per Mo capped
    * 27 IPs
    * DirectAdmin
    * Detailed Bandwidth Utilization
    * Managed multi-homed, Tier 1 network
    * Managed Network Intrusion Detection
    * Unlimited access to live support 24/7/365
    * Fully Managed Server
    * Full Server Monitoring

    After a quick talk with mike on icq, he let me know setup would probably be on the 3rd or 4th which was no problem. My creditcard is billed on October 1st.

    A few days pass and and still no response from webair. I decide to let it slide, and receive an e-mail stating my account setup would start October 7th and be finished no later than October 8th @ 8pm.

    Once again the deadline rolls around and still no response from Webair, I contact support and they give me the usual run around. I am finally told setup will be done on Tuesday the 9th before 8PM.

    Once again the deadline passes with no word from Webair again. This shit is just getting outragious now. I call support AGAIN and I am told a technician will update me on the progress of my server.

    Still have not heard any piece of news from Webair regarding my box.

    The last few days Mike has not been responding to any of my concerns or questions on ICQ.

    What a horrible fucking experience this has been. An unheard of 10 day setup time with no updates along the way, missed deadline after missed deadline without so much as an e-mail. At this point I am ready to cancel my service before it even starts.

    Any other hosting companies that can give me a comparable setup for a LOW PRICE please leave details in this thread including all fees. If you do not offer unmetered connections, 4-6TB is the required data transfer.

      What price are you trying to match?

      By the way, we don't charge our customers until their servers are online.

                  That is really odd because all my servers with webair typically take no more than 3 days to setup and install, and they'll credit you for the first 10 days of the month that the server wasn't online for.

                                  Have you sent a message? I have spambots trying to add me every hour of the day and night - unless someone tells me who they are, they will not be authorized.

                                  WebAir can take a couple days to setup a machine, and I've rarely had an issue - they've been very good about telling me first.

                                  However, if your time is worth more than your money, I hear ISPrime is giving non-cogent bandwidth at $35/mbit.

                                                        I've always had a lot of respect for Mike and the guys at Webair so I am not at all surprised to hear a happy ending.
