File Permission Question - Need Answer Quick

What file permissions do i set my folders to if i want my pictures to show up on my blog but i dont want someone to be able to directly surf my wordpress upload folder for just pictures....

Its not file permissions. Ask your host to help.

CHMOD 771 if owner is you:you.
CHMOD 711 if owner is you:group

If you upload through WordPress, though, you'll probably need to keep it at 777.

In this case, add that directory to your robots.txt exclude and put up a dummy index page:
