When you are walking down the street and end up making eye contact with another guy, do you do the head nod forward or backward?

I've always heard the it's more dominant to nod backwards, but I see it as a little disrespectful.

Wierd question, but thoughts anyone?

Really? So, throughout your entire day, you never acknowledge anyone else, unless you already know them?

Depends how busy the street is. If we are the only two people on the street and it's a safe environment, then I nod and/or smile and/or say hello. If it's super crowded and there's no reason to single anyone out, then I just keep my eyes front. If we're the only two people but making eye contact could be taken as willingness to chat or vulnerability, then I keep my eyes front.

Agreed, the accidental eye contact then quick lookaway move is definetely on the gay side. I usually break off a how's it goin.

It depends on what part of the city or where i was walking, sometimes just making eye contact with another guy can end up in a punch up over here. But generally if anther guy noded first i would acknowkledge him and nod back
and its a nod forward, but its a diff story when im riding my motorcycle its rude not to nod to another biker.

This is deff a man thing it feels uncomfortable when you make eye contact with a strange guy, I guess we all react in a way to show that we are either not gay or aggresive so hence the nod or watz up, but it is totaly diff with a woman
