Fuck me once...shame on you, fuck me twice...shame on me. Personally, I would never do business with a company that flat out stole from others. Make all of the changes you want, the "company you work for" are thieves and no changes to your business model will change that.
I would say that we, like any good religion should welcome the converts with open arms.
We push and work so hard to get them to convert to an honest business model, we are honor bound to applaud our success or their good sense.
Either way, I wish you much success as a legitimate business and I hope you will join the crusade against the theft of content and the threat that poses to all of our livelihoods.
Matt
I totally agree with this. How can we expect to change things if we crucify those who are attempting to change? I can understand those who are angry, but if we want to see positive changes in the industry then we need to see "the big picture" here and make changes in a positive way.

First off, they're not changing voluntarily. If the processors wouldn't have threatened to pull their account and had it not been for 2257, they would've gladly continued to steal.
Second, OK, no problem with giving people a second chance. But since they obviously fucked over so many on their way to the financial position they now hold, how about paying some damages to the ones they did fuck over? Surely you don't expect us to welcome them as honest members among us as if nothing happend previously, do you?

We don't crucify them for change... but they shouldn't be here to change in the first place. This companies has made all it's money to buy content by thieving it from others for a long time. They stole from everyone, and now they are using the profits of their theft to "go legit" and everyone is suppose to applaud?
Fucking moronic attitude. I hope CCBill makes them prove 2257 on every video on the site, one at a time, in a long drawn out process.
I have 4 rebills per month for at least 2 years which is when I stopped promoting them after reading about them here. Now that they have cleaned up their act I have started promoting again. It may be too early to tell, but the method I'm sending them traffic from one of my TGPs is the same I've used to send to my blog. I always got 600-900 visitors per day to my blog. How many have I gotten to skinvideo according to their stats? ONE! Gee, wonder who they are stealing from now.

Once a thief...
Whitehat is for chumps
If you don't do it, somebody else will - true story!
I know Kathleen is on a plane but from what I am told ... they only display active uniques. As in, if they leave the site without clicking once, they are counted as a bounce.
She will definitely respond in further detail if needed when she is off her plane.
All the programs are congratulating them... but i'll be honest here... when you changed your name from GUBA my cheques pretty much stopped... too bad though, your original idea was a good one and it worked well within any niche... now it's like a tube site with tagged videos....

OK, I'm at two hits now. So if what you are saying is true then, according to Google Analytics, my blog has a 44% bounce rate but showing them a page full of thumbnails gets only 2 clicks out of maybe 600 referrals? Can't wait to see what Kathleen says about this.

Hey there. I'm not sure exactly what affiliate id you are, but what Lubna said is true. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to address this immediately, but I was on a flight when you bumped this older thread. [[Thanks Lubna for jumping in when I couldn't.]]
We currently only display active uniques. Someone has to go through our tracking code, hit our site, and then click at least once for us to display it in stats. To be clear, if someone hits SkinVideo and leaves before clicking you won't see it in your visitor stats.
We've gotten some complaints about that, and we're thinking of adding additional hits and uniques columns to the interface next year. I'm sorry if this was frustrating to you. I would like to talk to you more specifically about your account, as that's more constructive. If you email me at [email protected] we can talk further.
I'm on x-mas vacation right now, so please don't feel ignored if it takes me an hour or so to return your email. I do want to talk to you, though. I look forward your email.
We sent you guys 4 emails with DMCA , without an answer , we had our lawyers call you guys...still no answer. Its not until our lawyers contacted CCbill and they threathened to shut down your processing that you started pulling the videos ...
But whatever, I guess better late than never, do it legally it will avoid you dealing with some serious issues later...Offenses of that kind will not be taken lightly...
This is just so ridiculous. I can't believe what I'm reading. Ok, this is the last old thread from this guy I'll bump tonight, but, Wissam, if you're out there somewhere, pretty damn ironic in retrospect these words coming from YOU, right?
Our little side-project started 16 years ago has come to an end. Thanks to everybody who was a part of SkinVideo. More thanks to those of you who stuck with us for so long!
We'll be linking to things we think you'll like shortly!
If you've found another site that you think other SkinVideo folks would like to move to, let us know and we'll post it here.
If you've got a question (billing or otherwise) for us, drop us a line at [email protected].
