However, I am now fairly certain of what happened. A few weeks ago she had certain... ehm... "problems" after being away for a week (nothing very clear, just something odd), then, after having sex with her a short while later, I suddenly got very freaky red bumps all over my lower body. Didn't think too much of it at first, just thought it was some kind of allergy or something. Well, it turned out otherwise.

1) just becuase you got herpes from her, doesn;t mean she cheated on you. Some people have the herpes virus for a long time (over a year) before there first outbreak (you only transmit it while outbreaking)
2) most people who have herpes, don't even realize they have it, becuase it it either asyptomatic or the systoms (outbreaks) are soo mild they can't feel it. In fact, 1 in 4 americans over 18 test positive for the herpes virus, and 1 in 2 who have had more than 4 sexual partners.
just fyi, you can get herpes from unprotected oral sex, so count that in your "sexual partners list"
