                                      Supposedly apple tried to build in free ringtone support for the iPhone through iTunes, but the RIAA had a big problem and put a stop to it.

                                                  GO to jailbreakme.com from your iphones broswer and download the hack. There are a lot of great applications that u can download once u get the instaler. Including one that just sends any mp3 on your phone to your ringtone folder.
