My CSS designed site keeps loading twice, can anyone HELP?

Anybody know how to stop this?

It always loads a blank page and then the page you want to see. It looks like flickering between pages.

It always happens with ie and sometimes with firefox.

and what's your site? it could happen for several reasons, the least probable being CSS, it looks more like JS, but if you post your page it may help

I have two crystal balls... but both of them are a little too hairy to see the future.

I've seen that as well.. I bet he has a LOT of content that has to be loaded and the browser isn't drawing the div contents until it's all loaded.. Maybe it's due to some height setting or something on some of the divs that it requires a full load before drawing.

My guess is you have conflicting styles.
As in used the same style name twice.

yes it could, esp on dynamic generated content. CSS can be a bitch when you have dynamic content via PHP, AJAX or JS. But either way, I'll take the bitch as long as it's ALMOST a dream come true (if only those assholes at Microsux would know how to program a real browser...)

that's the only scenario I could think of if the problem really comes via CSS

You can say that, and that's what I thought, but I've recently seen some CSS sites do it as well. A blank white page while it's loading and the "poof" there it all is.
