It is good that the discussion about this issue started here. I am the next one who bought the model directory cms like year ago from scrypted and we talked about this on ICQ in Feb. You PROMISED to upgrade the old version for FREE to your new product as soon as it is ready. Since then, I have tried to hit you up on ICQ many times and never got any answer. I didn't even know that you are now CalmDev or whatever.

Recently when you announced this new cms on boards, I was considering buying it, still not knowing it is you. Right now... well... no, thank you. You may again disappear because you do not like the new partnership or whatever else and leave the clients with the full of bugs, no longer developed software with no support.

But in conclusion, it is your business and your image. You may do whatever you want, however I believe you do not act fair.

If my client asks me for a design, and I do that design ... I don't then just add a few extra icons and resell that fucking design on!!!! Basically you're trying to mess people around. Custom work is custom work. You gotta be totally up front about the deal beforehand ... if you wanted to sell the code on after, you have to agree that shit before.

My clients get access to the PSD's and Layouts we do forever... We'll always hand the work over again if they lose the files.

I don't normally put my opinions across on stuff like this. but do business like a real man, and stop trying to fuck people over.

All I understand it this:

1. I have bought the script from scrypted - always talked to you, you were the coder, you were the sales person, you were the only contact from scrypted I have ever found. I have never heard about nor from any other scrypted guys so I just assume it was YOUR company.
2. The script was full of bugs and there was a major update to be released. It has never been. Now, I cannot even download the script I have paid for from the scrypted members area to check if it was updated.
3. I have contacted you on ICQ asking if I can either update or sell the script. You told you left the partnership with scrypted and code your own cms. YOU said you will upgrade people who bought model cms and will contact you as you lost the access to clients database.
4. YOU said you will do this upgrade for FREE.
5. You have never answered any of my ICQ messages since then!!!!

You may have your excuses or reasons, it is your problem and it is up to you how to handle it. You however could just say that the new product is much more advanced or whatever and yes, you will upgrade for $X. Or you could just not promise upgrade.
