    Why does software go 'bad'?

Yesterday I posted a thread asking for recommendations for software that watermarks pics. Somebody recommended fastone.org and it worked great and fast - I used it for 4 hours straight without a problem. Now today I fire it up again and it does nothing but freeze up. I uninstalled and re-installed a few times with no luck.

    What causes this to happen?
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

the last software that did this to me was Windows Media Encoder - I could never get it to work again.

Incompatibility with something else that was not active when it was working, but the other software is loaded now?

Lack of memory or other system resource that was available previously?

Parameter changes (within the software in question or on the system)?

        Working with different data?

        User error?

        Bad fucking luck?

Would it have anything to do with their site being down, I can't get fastone.org to load.

Its most likely something was saved that is causing it to error.

When you uninstall it besure to clean out the install dir as well as the registry settings.

Could be anything.. maybe its trying to open a file that is no longer there and has no error checking

a driver has crashed out some where and needs to be reinstalled. now just figure out where the conflict is you'll be in the high cotton it could be anywhere within reason, even a video card driver. something is not resolving. uninstall the softeware. roll back the system and try again. just note what is going on so you can find the fault next time.

this too, I've had corrupted folders that cause PS to run weird. had to copy the data to a new folder and rename the files to get PS to run correctly AND if the software needs to cry to mommy when you start bit up the website being crashed out will definitely stop the software from loading. might be the entire problem
