    Need A wordpress guru

    I have redone my site in WP2.2.2

    so as not to disrupt anything I put it all in a directory below my site diectory ie
    www.site.com/wordpress222

    I now want it to replace my original site...can I simply move everything up one directory and fix the config file or would this break everything. I can settle for a short disruption of an hour or less. all the database stuff should be fine I think.

    Help me out....TIA

      The only thing I can propose is to search the files and database for route and then change it for that route you want..
      and don't forget to move files to the new location..

          hmm didnt think of that..the database itself might work fine but it could have hardcoded paths in it...that would be bad

              it does have a path record in the DB.
              go to phpmyadmin, it should be in one of the first few rows
