How often SE do Update?
I mean I thought google is once a mounth but the last time they updated was 6 of July and ...
I'm also waiting for the dmoz update ..

Google will be updating soon - they updated at the END of july - the date you are seeing is the cache date.

Yes I was guiding by the cache date.
Still I've heard lots of opinnions here that the listing on dmoz is pretty important and that's why I'm so anxios for the update.


Anyway for the time being Google is the best of them.

That DMOZ thing is a semi-myth (there is a SMALL grain of truth to it). It is somewhat important to some sites, because of PageRank, but the porn categories are so far down in the directory that they have a low PR - and VERY little impact on your ranking. Especially if your alpha cat'd. It helps, but not NEARLY as much as some people say.

One of Google's servers seems to be going through a sort of update - you can reach it by using:
http://www2.google.com

www1 and www3 work as well, but I would say we are in for another week, but if it is in the cache - that is a good sign. Don't be surpised if it drops out of the index for a few days or so - that is normal. Check www, www1, www2, www3, and once they give the same results and the same cache and reverse links and total # results. Once they are all the same - that is usally where you will be for the next month.

Note that Google has made some major updating, caching and crawling page changes this month. I do not yet know what the results will be, but some speculate more regular indexing (Larry Page recently metioned this as a priority on a radio show).

So hopefully you will not have to wait as long next time. Good luck.
