Issues with Trillian ??!!??

I'm running Trillian Pro and it is always losing the names for my contacts and it just shows their ICQ number. I have to readd them to get the contact name back.

Has anyone else had this issue with Trillian and does anyone know how to fix it? I contacted their support, but never got a response.

yeah, seems like it doesn't support more than 279 contacts (I'm using 3.1 pro version)

i ditched trillian 3 months ago and got pidgin. same thing, but stable.

the icq issue isn't with trillian actually its with icq losing the name. it does it to me on pidgin as well. icq must have a contact limit. i have tons of people that i cant see their name unless i "get info" on the person. also with aim people that you add into icq using their aim, it will always display the number.

i hate that part.

I've had issues with Trillian ever since it came out in 2000.

In the last 7 years, I've installed it to "give it another try" and usually uninstalled it the same day.

I'll have to try pidgin myself.

I don't like the a fact that Trillian doesn't have a "find" feature. I'll go to add someone and it says they are already added but I can't find them. Frustrates the hell out of me!

That is very weird, I haven't had that problem.

I have requested the 'search/find" feature several times, to no avail. I always rename my contacts, but I hate trying to add someone new and then Trillian says "that contact already exists!" but it won't tell me who it is

I have that problem with it, and the find thing would be awesome, and a host of other improvements and repairs would be awesome!
For example, just to have it open new messages with SMALL icons and a pre-set size, you have to hack/edit the config file or someshit.
Just stupid..

I installed it today, and it's working great so far. I also installed the plugin Guifications for the more MSN-like stuff. =)
