    Starting sponsor program -- $$

    Hey,

i'm now finaly prepared to start my own sponsor site for affiliates and I would like you to help me out with some things..

First I would like to know what CMS is best for running a program for 10 sites?
I have seen now: Sitedepth and PaySite CMS 5 but i can't see prices

Is there any other good CMS and what's the price of those scripts?

My start will be easy, that means i'll buy content from producers. After that i would like to start shooting my own sets, videos, pictures so can you give me some info where can i find models?

OK, now when we have sites with content already what's the next step? How can I attract affiliates or start selling membership's on my own?

I'll be using ccbill for memberships and epass for affiliates, what do you think?

If there's anything more I should now, please tell me..

    Take care

Stay away from sitedepth. Every time i've touched it, its been a big headache...It needs a better template system in it. However, its great because its cheap, as long as you want to just have a simple members area without doing anything fancy.

Carma is MUCH better and more flexible, as it uses smarty.

I am using sitedepth and it works perfectly. You gotta know php GOOD though, but if you do (or know anyone who does) the sky is the limit. I think the unlimited sites version costs 899$, but hit up omar. Perhaps you can get a better price. Do a search for sitedepth and find his contact info.

Hi Crunchy, I´m afraid you are not prepared.

First I would like to know what CMS is best for running a program for 10 sites?
I have seen now: Sitedepth and PaySite CMS 5 but i can't see prices

Is there any other good CMS and what's the price of those scripts?
            MPA3 offers an additional CMS.

My start will be easy, that means i'll buy content from producers. After that i would like to start shooting my own sets, videos, pictures so can you give me some info where can i find models?
Shooting your own content is another pain in the ass. You do not need talent only, but a pretty good equipment and in my opinion you need experience shooting porn as well, if you want that stuff converting on your sites.

Dealing with talent isn´t as easy as it seems to be.

OK, now when we have sites with content already what's the next step? How can I attract affiliates or start selling membership's on my own?
That question made me feel you are not prepared for an own affiliate program yet. You won´t get those whales if you do not offer something special.

So you really should have your own traffic before starting a paysite. You need to know how to monetize traffic before and you should get a decent amount of own sales to stay independent of affiliates. If not, the expences for content, design and hosting are most likely kill you before you get the first check from your billing company.

I'll be using ccbill for memberships and epass for affiliates, what do you think?
CCBill pays the affiliates by check or wire. So you aren´t able to pay affiliates by epassporte unless you are using NATS, MPA3 or a similar software, as far as I know.
Epoch offers a light version of MPA3 if you are using them for processing. So you can set up cascading billing cheap.

If there's anything more I should now, please tell me..

            Take care
You should read about processing and billing in this thread.

my advice is go for it!

You will know in 1-2 years if you can survive in adult. I didn't know shit, squat, jack when I started almost 5 years ago, (still learning something new each week) so I spent 8-10 hours a day researching and learning. My break came by forming partnerships in the industry. There is no substitute for free advice from people with experience. I learned the majority from trial and error but I wouldn't give that up for the world. I have met some great friends and "celebrities" that I never would have doing the 9-5 thing.

If you are only here because you have $$ in your eyes, you will probably be gone by next year. To get you foot planted in this industry you will work an average of 10-12 hours a day. Shooting your own content expect to cough up 50K your first year for expenses, (add 10K for video and photo editing if you can't do it yourself and another 10K for web design, galleries, etc...)

              Hope this helps

I can edit photos and videos on my own, I am also a pretty good designer so this should not be a problem..

Other prices: 3x Camera is arround $10.000, I think models charge $1000 per set, and some cameramen will work for "free" i think , atleast at the begining..

As for shooting my own content, i think this will come later when i already have steady affiliates, members and gots to deal with new sites.

I would like to start with buying content for max. 2 niches and for each site arround 10 sets to start with, that's arround $400 if one set is arround $20.
Then I will start getting members and affiliates, maybe i'll get some big partner accounts and some big prizes for affiliates..

I definately think that 1-2 years is too much for me,.. I personally started in x biz 2months ago and I'm now on $200 per day AVG but I must say i've come from affiliate marketing and ecommerce business so I should have some knowledge from there, after all it's all about selling and conversions

From What I see NATS is the best program out there + you have that Carma plugin for fast content adding and also Sparta which is like "password trojan" with PaySite CMS 5, right?

                So my plan is that:
1.) Get NATS, signup w/ ccbill
2.) Make 2 Sites -> Fulfill with content
3.) Get traffic and convert it
                4.) Get Affiliates
5.) Start few sites with my own models
                6.) Close first 2 Sites
7.) Focus on my sites and ideas

What do you think about my plan?

                Best Regards

How much traffic do you have?

Affiliate programs that can't generate their own traffic always seem to fail...
