Not everyone has flash, loads slow, more expensive, etc.
You want complete compatability. If 10% of your surfers give up b/c it takes too long to load flash, you lose 10%, if 10% don't have flash installed, you lose another 10%. No one wants to lose 20% of their signups for something that costs more

The internet is not multimedia, it's TEXT. Flash can serve a purpose, to, say, compliment your main design, but you shouldn't rely on it.

Not everyone is on broadband connection. In fact, most aren't. Graphics and html load slow enough as it is on 56k...no need to bog it down even more with Flash.

          Spend you some brain.

            1) Not everybody has, or wants, the plugin.
            2) Download time. If you are dl'ing html page and lose the connection or whatever, you refresh and half is still already down/cached, takes not much longer. With flash, you refresh & it has to download the whole buggering thing again.
            3) A fair few surfers have activex objects disabled for security reasons.

I would also say that the FIRST time you see flash shit its very cool and impressive, but then you never wanna see it again, you just want to get to the content, either pics or text or whatever.

I can't stand a flash piece that doesn't let you skip through it.

Flash has gone the way of building applications, ( chats, video confering and the like more of a programmers tool ).

All I have to say about flash is that whenever I hit a site that gives me the option of flash and html, I always choose html, people want content and fast there just not enough time in the world for sell pitches and bullshit
