Google Change?!?

Hey,
Not sure what it is but I just did a dig on google using site: and got 4 different results (number of pages) inside of 10 minutes of checking my pages. In the old days that was a mark that google was about to update...or don't they do that anymore?

It's been a while since I've optimized for Google but I remember the days of checking www2 and www3 to see what the next shift was going to be like. Those of course are gone now. Anyhow, has anyone else noticed wierd things like this (besides google being google)?

I have had my top listings move around the past two weeks. Sometimes I'm #3, sometimes I'm 25, or off the pages completely.

Yah I encounter that too......
and Im not sure what I have to do with this......

I wasn't referring to the actual position but when you do a search for "site:domainname.com" and it kicks back how many are indexed. One site I have said 38 pages, then 29, and now it is saying 23...

Just seemed a little weird to me...at least my main site has 350+ pages right now...still waiting on the other 1500+ though LMAO...

Nothing is marked as supplemental anymore either that I can find.

I've had some strange results this last week on a couple sites... Where I'll get a ton more hits from google for a few hours and then back to normal.
