Question about composing a CCBill affiliate e-mail

I was wondering how some programs send out affiliate e-mails and manage to include the name of the person they're e-mailing in the salutation. Is there some kind of variable that you can use when composing the e-mail from CCBill's web admin? Im also looking for a way to insert the actual affiliate number into the e-mail as well. How do I do that?

you can't do it with CCBill's current affiliate email system.

Maybe in their new system coming out soon, but not yet.

Easy Assuming you have Outlook, Word and Excel installed . . . .

      1) Download a members report in .csv format
      2) Open word and select Mailings>Start Mail Merge>Email Messages
      3) Then Choose Select Recipients>Use Existing List
      4) Browse and select .csv file
      5) Write your email template, when you want to add a name select Insert Merge Field>Name
      6) Your Template will have the characters <<name>> making your main template "Dear <<name>>”
      7) Do the same for your affiliates field select Insert Merge field>Affiliates you will get the text <<affiliates>> appear.
      8) You will now have a template with <<name>> for the names and <<affiliates>> for the affiliate codes.
      9) Preview the individual email by selecting "Preview results" and selecting the “<” and “>” arrows to flick through the individual mails.
      10) Once you are happy select Finish & Merge>Send Email Messages
      11) Select the EMAIL field when the box appears, enter a subject and click OK
      12) The mails will be sent through the default mail account in outlook

This is how I do it to send personalised emails to affiliates with their own link codes!!

      I hope this helps!!

A lot of work for the first batch but then you will have the template (you would save the word template) for future mailings as you just change the text of the mail.

Oh you can download a trial version of Office to see if it works for you at : http://office.microsoft.com and dowload a 60 day trial ;)

Hi there.. I have a script that I am using for that purpose! Hit me up on icq!

Love your program, but I dont think you are allowed to have 2 banners in your sig. And not a big one like that either. 120x60 I think is the rule
